About Renee Chatelain
Renee Chatelain is president of RMCreative Solutions, LLC, where she advises mission-driven organizations on strategy, governance, operations, leadership transitions, community engagement, and crisis readiness.During nearly a decade as President and CEO of the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge, she led a citywide creative placemaking initiative, spearheaded a $3 million capital campaign, and oversaw the design and construction of the Cary Saurage Community Arts Center, an accessible community arts hub completed in under three years. She also established Creative Relief, an emergency planning and response program recognized by FEMA and modeled across the Southeast.Renee’s earlier career includes executive leadership at Manship Theatre at the Shaw Center for the Arts, arts education, and legal practice. A former professional dancer and choreographer, she has taught internationally and co-founded Mid-City Dance Project, Inc., which served special-needs and underserved youth for nearly two decades.She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University. Renee is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and the International Women’s Forum and has served in national and regional advisory roles involving arts advocacy, community arts, and emergency preparedness.
